Routine Wellness Exams
The Foundation of Your Lifelong Health
An annual wellness exam is more than just a routine checkup; it is a proactive strategy for your overall well-being. At Queen Bee Gynecology, we transform the standard "yearly exam" into a comprehensive health assessment tailored to your life stage. Led by Dr. Beena J. Green, our wellness visits focus on the whole person, integrating preventative screenings with meaningful conversations about your physical and hormonal health. In our gynecology-only practice, these visits are never rushed. We provide the dedicated time necessary to address your concerns, perform essential screenings, and build a preventative roadmap that evolves as you do.

Our Process
Your Journey to Specialized Care
We believe that informed patients make the best health decisions. Our process is designed to be transparent, supportive, and convenient.
Comprehensive Health Dialogue
More Than Just a History. We begin with an in-depth conversation about your current health, family history, and lifestyle. This is your time to discuss everything from cycle changes and mood to sleep quality and sexual wellness.
Preventative Screenings
Clinical Precision. Depending on your age and risk factors, we perform or coordinate essential screenings, including trauma-informed pelvic exams, Pap smears for cervical cancer prevention, and clinical breast or chest exams.
Holistic Risk Assessment
A Wider Lens. Dr. Green evaluates your risk for conditions like osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and hormonal imbalances. We ensure you are up to date on necessary vaccinations and blood work to monitor your internal health markers.
Personalized Wellness Roadmap
Planning for the Year Ahead. We conclude your visit with a clear, actionable plan. Whether it’s optimizing nutrition, adjusting medications, or scheduling follow-up screenings, you leave with a strategy to maintain your health until your next visit.

FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
What is the difference between an "annual exam" and a problem-focused visit?
A wellness exam is a preventative visit focused on screenings and overall health maintenance. If you have a specific new concern—such as acute pain or an infection—we may schedule a separate problem-focused visit to ensure both your preventative care and your specific issue get the time they deserve.
Do I still need a Pap smear every year?
Current evidence-based guidelines often recommend Pap smears every 3 to 5 years for low-risk individuals, depending on age and HPV status. However, a wellness exam is still recommended annually to monitor other aspects of your gynecologic and breast health.
What should I bring to my wellness exam?
Please bring a list of any medications or supplements you are currently taking, as well as any specific questions or symptoms you’ve tracked since your last visit. This helps Dr. Green provide the most accurate and personalized advice.
Can I discuss menopause or contraception during my wellness visit?
Absolutely. While these can sometimes be complex topics, your annual exam is the perfect time to start the conversation. If your needs require a deeper dive, we can build upon your wellness visit with a specialized follow-up consultation.
